How this site is made.

This site is built with Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and MDX, and it's hosted on Vercel. The source is on GitHub.

Type

Headlines are set in Fraunces, a soft, slightly wonky old-style serif. Body copy is Geist, and anything that looks like it belongs in a terminal is Geist Mono.

The pieces

• The career trace is hand-built: plain React and CSS, drawn to look like the trace views I spend my days in.
• The disc golf chart comes from my public PDGA record. A script pulls it every morning, politely, and the next-update projection follows PDGA's published ratings formula.
• The putting green runs on a small state machine and a timing meter. Facts you've collected are remembered in your browser, and the chains sound is synthesized on the spot.
• The shell opens with / or ⌘K. Try help, neofetch, putt, pdga, or scout.
• The cowbell in the footer is synthesized in the browser with the Web Audio API, the same way a TR-808 does it.

Colors

Paper and ink by day; a pine-dark lake by night. The accent is sunset red.
